Flying Boba to Phuket from Bangkok, how bad is it??

We are moving to Phuket for work and need to take Boba on the plane. Shih Tzu is small, under 5kg. I think I'll put him in cabin but the flight is only 1 hour and im not sure if the Phuket airport has special area for pets or not. Also heard the waiting room can be terribly hot, any tips?

I think it's easy. Boba is so small. Main thing is ask airline for the fee and tell them it's a cabin pet. Don't forget the vaccine paper, they check it sometimes.

Phuket airport is hot even inside, so arrive later and go straight to check in. Boba need water so bring 1 bottle for him, small bowl easy. Also no food 4 hours before flight is good idea

Ok! I think Phuket airport has a pet area near the check in counter but better call and ask. Don't forget his health book.

Cabin is totally fine for Boba, just make sure he's in a soft carrier and under the seat. Bring a frozen water bottle wrapped in a towel for the carrier, and book the pet ticket before flight day.

Maybe try taking him for a short trip first, in a car. A one hour flight is manageable but some Shih Tzus get very stressed. You can also ask the airline if they have special rules for pets in cabin.
