Chiang Mai condo cat rule, juristic office changed mind

Question

Our condo juristic office told us cats are allowed for my Nemo but now a new committee member says no pets over 1 kg. Nemo is a Korat and weighs about 3.5 kg. Is this legal? Has anyone dealt with this before in Chiang Mai?

Old rules before a new one may protect your cat. Keep your vet records and vaccination card in case they ask. Hope it gets sorted.

Ok Nemo is a cat so the 1 kg weight thing is for dogs I think. Better check. If they say no, you can ask neighbours to sign a letter that they dont mind. Helps sometimes.

Yes ask for the rule in writting. In Thailand most condo rules say pets allowed but must not disturb others. Your cat is 2 years and was there already, so probably they cannot kick out old pets.

Ask them to show you the rule in writing, the meeting minutes or the rules book. Verbal says don't count much.

In my condo they only check the animal is not dangerous, not weight. Tell the juristic person politely, bring a photo of Nemo and the vaccine card.
