A groomer who stayed late for Pla

YuwadeeYuwadee Kanchanasiri15 September 2026·1 min read

I have been taking Pla, my poodle, to the same grooming place near my condo for years, but last Saturday was different. She had a bad reaction to something on her skin, her ears were red and swollen, and she was shaking in the carrier while I stood there trying not to panic.

The groomer, a calm woman named Noi, noticed right away. She didn't just do the bath and trim we had booked. She cleaned Pla's ears gently, wrapped her in a warm towel, and called a vet clinic down the road to ask whether I should bring her in that evening. I was stuck in a meeting, and Noi sent me photos and a short video every twenty minutes so I could see she was okay.

When I came back, Pla was waiting for me on the counter, fluffy and calm, with a little pink bow Noi had clipped on. I paid, said thank you about five times, and Noi just laughed and said I should tell my friends. So this is me telling everyone. If you have a poodle, find the people who stay late and really care.

I am going to ask our groomer if they can do the same for our dog next time. A calm, unhurried session makes such a big difference when a pet is already nervous. Hope Pla is feeling better now.
