A Rainy Walk With Ice Turned Into a Long Detour
Ice is a four-year-old Poodle who believes every puddle in Bang Phli is a personal invitation. We walked out after the afternoon rain last week, and by the end of the lane the water was up to the bottom of the gate. Ice did not care. He pranced through, then sat down in the middle of it and refused to move until I gave him a treat.
Some things I now do in rainy season. I keep a towel and a bag for his feet in the car, because the mud on the soi gets everywhere and dries into the fur. I check for gutters and open drains before we set off, since the lids can be missing after the storms. I bring a small torch if we go out after dark, and I stick to the higher pavement.
We got home two hours later than planned, but Ice slept like a log. A rainy walk is worth it if you plan it properly.

Ice clearly has no fear of puddles, what a legend.

Ha, Ice sitting down in the middle of the puddle is the most poodle thing ever. Dum would do the exact same, she loves water way too much.

Made my morning, Lulu would have followed Ice straight into that puddle.
