flying domestic with a frenchie, paperwork
so Mushi needs to fly from bkk to Chiang Mai for my wife's family thing next month and i didnt realise how much paperwork there is for domestic flights. the airline asked for a health certificate from vet within 10 days of flight, its not the same as the vaccine card. we went to vet in yannawa area on monday and they said it need the micro chip number on the form too.
Mushi is 6 year old frenchie male, very chill but he is brachycephalic so the airline have rule about temperature, if its too hot they dont allow him in the cargo. they also wont take him in the cabin if the carrier is too big. i measured the carrier 3 times lol
things i wish i knew earlier: check the rabies vaccine date, it must be valid on the day of flight not when you book. print two copies. take photo of the certificate on phone too but dont trust it only. call the airline before to confirm the weight limit for the carrier plus the pet, sometimes they count the carrier weight also.
also get the carrier with the ventilation holes on 3 sides, mushi hate the closed one and he cry the whole way. the vet said give him a small walk and water before the check in, not food for 4 hours before.
im going to be stressed on the day, i already know it. anyway that's my tip.

Mushi is cute! My Ton also from Yannawa, I think the vets there are very busy. Did they give you a copy of the certificate in English too?
