found a kitten at our gate

Early this morning, Charlie barked at the gate for a long time. When I went out there was a tiny kitten, maybe 4 weeks old, sitting in the drain with no mother anywhere. Charlie was not sure what to do with her. He sniffed her, then sat down and waited like a good old dog.

We took her to the vet near the port in Si Racha for a check. The vet said she is healthy but has some fleas, so she got a bath and a flea treatment. Her name is now Mochi, my husband thinks it is funny because she is so small.

She is sleeping in a box next to my bed right now with a towel and a small bowl of water. Charlie keeps checking on her every hour. I am still not sure how long we keep her, but we have time to decide.
