heat walk with mango

Mango and I walked at 6am before the sun gets hot. Its already 30 degrees at 8. I recieve a message from my neighbour saying no walking at noon, which she is right about. Mango does not understand this and wants to walk in the middle of the day because she is German Shepherd and thinks she is a wolf.

We found a small shady park near Bang Bon with a water tap. Mango drinks like she has not seen water for a week. I bring a small bowl and a towel, and she sit in the shadow for ten minutes before we go on.

The pavement is burning, so I now check the back of my hand before walking. If I cannot keep my hand on the ground for five seconds, it is too hot for her paws. Simple rule, works well.
