  One thing that helped us in the first month was putting a worn T-shirt with our scent in the crate. Also, try to keep the nightly walk at the same time so the puppy learns the rhythm. Small things like that made a big difference. Good luck to Onigiri.

  For the first few weeks, a warm (not hot) water bottle wrapped in a towel near the bed can help a pup feel less alone at night. Keeping the same bedtime routine every evening helps too.
