road trip with Daeng, Isaan and Loei

We drove from Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima, then Khon Kaen, then up to Loei with Daeng in the back of the car. He is 4 and a half years old and this was his first long trip. I was so nervous that he would vomit the whole way, but he was ok for most of the time.

The car is small so Daeng sits on the blanket on the back seat with his head out the window sometimes, which I know is not safe, but he loves the wind so much. We stop every 2 hours at the rest stop for water and pee. The rest stops in Thailand are very clean now compared to 5 years ago, good.

First night we stayed in a guesthouse in Khon Kaen. The owner's dog and Daeng became friends in 5 minutes, they ran around the garden like crazy. The owner says Daeng is handsome. I agree lol.

On the second day it rain a lot, the road to Loei was very slow and foggy. I gave Daeng a little bit of medicine from the vet for car sickness. Good thing, he slept all the way after that.

Honestly I was little bit worried about the cost of the petrol and the rest stop food for him, but next time I will bring a bigger cooler and cook his chicken rice in the room. He got so tired from the trip he didnt eat much the first night. Other than that, very good trip, no complain.
