🌩️ thunder and fireworks, how we got lucky poodle through

Lucky is 9 year old and every time there is a loud sound he run to the bathroom and hide in the bathtub. It is so sad to see. Last Loy Krathong we was at home in Bang Na and the neighbors shoot fireworks until midnight.

What helped? I put a white noise machine near his bed, and close all the windows and curtains. I also give him a small dose of the calming medicine the vet prescribed, but only after we asked her, not just from google. She say he should take it 1 hour before the fireworks start, not when they already start.

Also I sit on the floor with him and do not hug him too tight, because he think I am scared too. Lucky is more relaxed when I am calm. Maybe this is not for everyone but it work for us.
