Goku turned 8 (tortoise birthday)

Goku turned eight this month and we had a little party in the garden. He is a sulcata tortoise, which means he has been with me since before the kids went to college, so yeah, he is family.

We set out a tray of dandelion, romaine lettuce and a few strawberries as the cake. Bua the Shiba was very interested in the strawberries, but Goku was more interested in walking in a straight line toward the hedge. It took him about twenty minutes to decide he was done with the party.

My neighbor brought over a little sign that said Happy Birthday Goku, and he tried to eat the corner of it. It was a good day honestly.

The vet in Bang Phli checked his shell and everything looks great. Keep the vegetables coming, that is the secret.
