Bonbon

songkran + bonbon = nightmare

Adisak23 July 2026·1 min read

Every Songkran my neighbour buy the big firecrackers and Bonbon go under the bed for 3 days. Last year she even pee on my bag, I think from fear. This year I prepare early. I put the blanket in her bed, I close the balcony door and turn on the fan so the sound is less.

Bonbon is 3.8 years old, she is very small but very brave with the cat and the bird outside. Not with the fireworks lol.

On the first day of Songkran we go to the condo pool and she sit on the step and refuse to go in. I dont blame her, the water hit people all the time and kids screaming. We stay 10 minutes only then go home. Choco Pie is ok with water, she jump in and swim like a fish.

The fireworks at night is the hard part. I download the white noise app and play it near Bonbon's bed. Maybe it helps, she sleep at 11 now. Before she didnt sleep until 2am.

My mom say I spoil her too much, I say she is my girl and that's it.

Tip: put a towl over the cage at night and the sound is less, Mocha likes it too. Also freeze some treats for them to lick when the boom sounds start, works for us.
