Leashed dogs are allowed inside the air-conditioned dining area and on the front outdoor seating. Dogs must stay on a leash or in a pet stroller or carrier bag. There is no pet entrance fee, and the venue has stated no weight or size limit.

There is no menu for dogs or pets. REAL GROCERS is a human café and grocery rather than an animal café or pet hotel, and it keeps no resident animals.

Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.

Description

REAL GROCERS occupies the ground floor of REAL STUDIO, a homey, minimalist grocery café in a renovated building. Alongside the café is a curated grocery corner stocking farm-fresh products, bakery items and goods sourced from farmers in Chiang Mai. The upper floor is a rental photo studio.

The menu covers specialty coffee pulled on a La Marzocco machine, matcha drinks, cold-pressed juices and smoothies, Greek yogurt bowls with fruit and granola, open sourdough sandwiches, pasta, toasties and brunch plates.

The air-conditioned dining area and shaded outdoor seating make it a calm place for a slow coffee, a brunch or a browse through the grocery shelves. Facilities are standard café seating, a terrace and water on request.

Getting there

REAL GROCERS is at 158 Soi Phrom Chit, the Sukhumvit 33 alley that can also be reached from Sukhumvit 39, in Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana.

The nearest BTS station is Phrom Phong, about 1 to 1.2 km away. It is a 3 to 5 minute motorcycle taxi ride or a 12 to 15 minute walk. Nearby landmarks include EmQuartier, Emporium and EmSphere.

Parking for roughly 2 to 4 cars is available in front of the shop and along the alley.
