Description

The Fig Lobby Bangkok is a 68-room boutique hotel that opened in 2022 and calls itself an anti-hotel. Instead of a corporate look, it has a brightly patchworked exterior and colourful rooms decorated by artists, with influences from Hundertwasser and Gaudí. Each room has its own artist-designed wallpaper, colourful tiles and quirky details.

There is no standard reception desk: guests check in at an ice cream lounge. Rad is Rad serves Thai fusion and all-day dining, and the Rum & Orange rooftop bar offers evening drinks with skyline views.

For wellness there is The Amalaki Spa with massages and body treatments, spin classes, and Ice House cold-plunge and ice-bath sessions. The hotel also has a ceramics studio and holds regular community events such as art workshops and pop-up markets.

The hotel sits in an older part of Khlong Toei with canals, shophouses and local markets alongside new developments. Shops, restaurants and a hospital are within walking distance.

The nearest station is Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre on the MRT Blue Line, about 1 km away or a 10–14 minute walk; the hotel runs a tuk-tuk shuttle to the station. Khlong Toei MRT is about 15–17 minutes on foot, and Asok BTS is a 5–10 minute taxi ride.
