Dogs are welcome; cats are generally not allowed. The weight limit is 35 kg per dog, and usually 1 dog per room. If you want to bring more, contact the hotel in advance for approval. The pet fee is typically THB 1,500 per pet per night; earlier promotional rates were lower, so confirm the current fee with the hotel.
Pets are given allocated pet-friendly rooms, and food and water bowls are provided on request. Dogs must be on a leash whenever they are outside the room. They may use the general outdoor garden walkways but are strictly not allowed in restaurants and bars, the fitness centre or the swimming pool area. Pets must not be left alone in the room.
A Hilton partner page lists the hotel as not allowing pets, which appears to be outdated, so confirm with the hotel before booking.
Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.
The Sukhothai Bangkok (โรงแรมสุโขทัย กรุงเทพ) is a low-rise urban hotel designed by architect Ed Tuttle. Instead of a glass tower it spreads across six acres of courtyards, landscaped greenery and lotus ponds that recall the ancient Sukhothai Kingdom.
Interiors use polished teakwood, Jim Thompson Thai silks and traditional stone carvings. Rooms have large bathrooms with deep soaking tubs and separate walk-in showers.
Dining includes Celadon, serving Thai cuisine in pavilions around a lotus pond; La Scala for contemporary Italian; and Colonnade, known for its Sunday brunch. The hotel also has The Zuk Bar, Spa Botanica and a 25-metre outdoor pool surrounded by greenery.
The hotel lies along the South Sathon corridor in the diplomatic and central business district, among embassies, corporate headquarters and high-end residential towers.
