Chiang Mai Summer Resort is a historic Lanna-style boutique guesthouse made up of four standalone teakwood houses, some of them 70 to 90 years old or more, set around a central garden and courtyard. It feels closer to a private bed and breakfast than a large resort.
The houses are split-level. The ground floor has an open-air sitting area and a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee and tea facilities. Upstairs are an air-conditioned bedroom, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a private wooden balcony or deck.
The resort offers a peaceful atmosphere, lush greenery and views of the neighbouring temple pagoda. With only four units, availability is often limited.
The resort sits in the south-eastern part of the historic Old City moat. The lane is quiet and residential, yet local food markets, cafes, convenience stores and temples are all within walking distance.
