Dogs are allowed outside only, in the shaded riverside garden. The Pup Cities directory says dogs are not allowed in the indoor air-conditioned areas, and no source says otherwise. Dogs must stay on a leash.
Public listings give no pet fee and no size or weight limit, and there is no dedicated pet menu. The café is not an animal café or pet hotel and has no resident animals. You can bring your own leashed dog to sit outside with you.
Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.
Dreamtime Cafe is a relaxed café and daytime workspace in the Wat Ket area of Chiang Mai. The two-storey building is a converted traditional wooden rice barn with high ceilings and warm wood furnishings, and vintage cars are parked near the entrance.
The menu centres on espresso drinks, pour-overs, signature fruit coffees such as Orange Americano, fizzy sodas such as Fizzy Peach, teas and, in the late afternoon, beer. Homemade pastries and brownies are served, and the food menu is intentionally limited.
Facilities include air-conditioned seating downstairs, a semi-open second-floor balcony, power outlets and Wi-Fi, which suit a few hours of work. The shaded riverside garden has seating and camping chairs.
The café is on Chiang Mai–Lamphun Road (Thanon Chiang Mai-Lam Phun) on the east bank of the Mae Ping River, opposite Kawila Military Camp.
Chiang Mai has no BTS or MRT. Most visitors come by car, motorbike, Grab, songthaew or tuk-tuk, about 10 to 15 minutes from the Old City or the Night Bazaar. An on-site car park in front of the café fits about 15 vehicles.
