Leashed dogs are welcome both indoors in the air-conditioned room and outdoors on the shaded terrace beneath the trees. Pets must be kept on a leash, in a stroller or in a carrier at all times. There is no pet entry fee, and no strict size or weight limit is reported. The indoor area is compact, so larger dogs may be more comfortable outside.

There is no dog or pet menu, and no dog play zone, agility course or grooming service. The café keeps no resident animals. Visitors are welcome to bring their own pets.

Description

TANN is a coffee shop and brunch café with a running and outdoor lifestyle concept, under the tagline “by nature, fueled by coffee”. Its cosy Japanese-Korean style interior of wood and concrete is paired with a small corner selling running gear and apparel, and a Wednesday morning run club.

The speed bar and slow bar serve coffee in light, medium and dark roasts, matcha lattes, rich hot chocolate and blended teas. The brunch menu includes croissants, eggs Benedict, pancakes and sourdough sandwiches, and the baked goods include carrot cake and banana bread.

It suits early risers, runners and dog walkers who want a sit-down breakfast after a morning walk. The space is small, so it is easy to manage with a dog, and the shaded terrace is pleasant before the heat builds up.

Getting there

TANN is at 21 Nimmana Haeminda Road, Lane 5 (Soi 5), Nimmanhaemin, Tambon Su Thep, Mueang Chiang Mai. It is reached from Nimmana Haeminda Road or Huay Kaew Road. The café sits next to Botan Bar, in the former KLĀY café location.

Chiang Mai has no BTS or MRT, so guests come by Grab, Bolt, songthaew or scooter. Roadside parking is limited in front of the café and along the soi, with paid private parking within a short walk. It is about a 5 to 8 minute walk from One Nimman and MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center.
