Dogs are welcome outdoors, including the lawn, garden and dog park. Dogs are allowed outside only, and they are not allowed inside the air-conditioned dining rooms.
Pets must stay on a leash, or in a carrier or stroller, on the property. There is no pet fee and no size or weight limit. There is no pet menu, so bring food and a water bowl. The resident dog Sun Sun often greets guests, and visitors may bring their own leashed dogs and cats.
Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.
Description
Something Journey is a lakeside destination in Chiang Rai with Nordic, hygge-inspired design. It combines a café, a Thai-fusion and Western restaurant, and a private villa.
The menu includes Chiang Rai nachos with nam prik num guacamole, clay pot rice, wood-fired pizzas, BBQ ribs and pasta, plus homemade pastries such as salted egg croissants. Specialty roasted coffee, teas and mocktails are also served.
The grounds offer wide lawns running down to the reservoir, shaded gardens, stone paths, a koi pond, a children's play area and a dedicated dog park. The property also hosts events and weddings.
Getting there
Something Journey is on Highway 1020 / Route 1152, southeast of Chiang Rai city centre in Tambon Huai Sak. The drive from the city takes about 20 to 25 minutes.
Chiang Rai has no BTS or MRT, so a car, motorbike or taxi is the practical option. Free private parking for cars and motorcycles is available on site.
