Sooknirund Hotel is a reasonably priced boutique hotel in central Chiang Rai, close to the Clock Tower. It accepts dogs and cats up to 10 kg in suite rooms only, with one pet per room.

Dogs and cats are accepted in designated suite rooms only; pets are not allowed in the Standard and Deluxe categories. Notify the hotel in advance.
The fee is THB 1,000 per pet per night, and one pet per room (some partner sites mention up to two with approval). Certified service animals are exempt from the fee. Guests are liable for any damage. The pet suites come with food bowls, a water dispenser and a mat.
Pets are not allowed in indoor public areas or in food and beverage outlets, must be on a leash outside the room and must not be left alone in the room. An open-air inner courtyard garden is on site.
Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.
Sooknirund Hotel (โรงแรมสุขนิรันดร์) opened in 1962 as one of Chiang Rai's first hotels and was completely renovated, reopening around 2019. It combines neo-colonial and modern boutique styling, with a white exterior, soft pastel interiors and an open inner courtyard garden.
The hotel has 52 rooms on three floors, in Standard, Deluxe, Suite, Sook Suite and Loft categories.
Facilities include a restaurant serving northern Thai specialities and international dishes, a café and afternoon tea lounge, a fitness centre, a library room and meeting rooms.
The hotel is in the city centre, with 7-Eleven and Watsons stores, coffee shops, local restaurants and massage shops within walking distance.

The hotel is at 424/1 Banpaprakarn Road, Wiang, Mueang Chiang Rai. Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 1 (the old bus station) is only 450–500 m away, a 5–7 minute walk or a 2-minute tuk-tuk or songthaew ride.
From Mae Fah Luang – Chiang Rai International Airport it is about 7.5–9.5 km, a 15–20 minute drive by airport taxi, Grab or the hotel's transfer service arranged in advance. By car, take Route 1 (Phahonyothin Road) into the city, then turn onto Banpaprakarn Road towards the Clock Tower; the entrance is on the road. Free on-site self-parking is available.
