Bangsaen Heritage Hotel is a reasonably priced beach resort in Bang Saen, Chon Buri, opposite the beach. Dogs and cats are welcome only in its detached villas, with a fee per pet per night.

Pets are allowed only in the detached villas, such as the One Bedroom Superior Villa, Two Bedroom Villa and Two Bedroom Superior Villa. Pets are not allowed in the main hotel towers.

The pet fee is THB 600 per pet per night. Guests may bring up to 2 pets per villa, and pets must be notified to the resort when booking. The stated guideline is up to 15 kg per pet; larger breeds are occasionally accepted if arranged in advance with the front desk.

The villas have basic pet amenities, including sleeping cushions, food and water bowls and pee pads. Dogs can be walked on a leash on the garden walkways and lawns, but pets are not allowed in indoor dining halls or in the pool.

Description

Bangsaen Heritage Hotel (โรงแรมบางแสน เฮอริเทจ) is one of the original seaside resorts in the area, first established decades ago in the era of Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram. It has since been modernised into a retro-contemporary beach resort that keeps classic Thai architectural details.

The property has 294 guest accommodations, split between mid-rise Heritage Wings buildings and private detached garden villas. The villas are set in landscaped grounds with wide lawns and walkways.

Facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool with water slides and a children's pool, expansive landscaped gardens, a fitness centre, children's play areas and several large banquet and convention spaces, including Saen-Suk Grand Hall and Chomtalay Hall.

Dining venues include Sila Restaurant, Coco Café & Restaurant and Punthai Coffee.

Neighbourhood

A classic, lively Thai beach-town setting. The hotel sits just across a two-lane road from the palm-lined beachfront promenade, with street food vendors, fresh seafood stalls, seaside cafés and rental beach chairs nearby.

Getting there

The address is 50 54 Bangsaen Sai 1, Tambon Saen Suk, Chon Buri 20130. By car from Bangkok, which takes about 1 to 1.5 hours (roughly 75–85 km), take the Bang Na–Trat Expressway (Highway 34) or the Bangkok–Chonburi Motorway (Route 7) southeast. Exit toward Chon Buri and Bangsaen onto Sukhumvit Road (Route 3), turn right toward the coast onto Long Had Bangsaen Road and continue to the roundabout by the beachfront. Turn right onto Bangsaen Sai 1 Road; the hotel is on the right.

By public transport, take a passenger van or bus from Bangkok (Ekkamai Eastern Bus Terminal, Mo Chit Terminal or the Suvarnabhumi Airport transport hub) bound for Bang Saen or Burapha University. Get off near Bang Saen Beach or Burapha University, then take a red songthaew or motorbike taxi to the hotel entrance on Bangsaen Sai 1 Road.
