Dogs and cats are welcome with a maximum weight of 10 kg per pet. The fee is THB 500 per pet per night, paid at check-in, and a room deposit of about THB 1,000 is typically taken. One or two small pets are allowed per room; inform the hotel before arrival.

Pets stay only in designated rooms on the 9th floor, usually Superior rooms. The hotel does not provide bedding, bowls, litter boxes or food, so bring your own. Pets must be on a lead or in a carrier in public areas, are not allowed in the swimming pool, mini water park or indoor dining areas, and must not be left unattended in the room.

Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort (เมอร์เคียว พัทยา โอเชียน รีสอร์ท) is a 16-storey four-star resort managed by Accor, with 210 modern rooms and suites. It is styled as a family playground.

The aquatic zone has a mini water park with two waterslides, a children's climbing wall and a themed cave pool. Adults can use a quieter outdoor pool on the terrace level.

Other facilities include a fitness centre, a kids club, and an all-day restaurant and pool bar serving Thai and international food. Parking is free on site.

Neighbourhood

The resort is in North Pattaya, a lively but more family-oriented area with convenience stores, shopping malls, massage shops, international restaurants and the beach promenade within walking distance.

Getting there

By car from Bangkok, take the Bangkok–Chonburi Motorway (Route 7) towards Pattaya, exit onto North Pattaya Road and head west to the Dolphin Roundabout. Turn south onto Pattaya Sai 2 (Second Road), continue about 400 m, then turn right into Pattaya Soi 2; the resort is on your right.

By bus, take an air-conditioned bus from Ekkamai or Mo Chit to Pattaya North Bus Terminal, then a songthaew or taxi to Pattaya Soi 2 (5–10 minutes). From U-Tapao Airport it is about 45–50 minutes by taxi or shuttle; from Suvarnabhumi Airport about 1.5 hours (84–120 km) via Route 7.
