Dogs and other small to medium-sized pets up to about 20 kg are welcome. Tell the resort your pet's breed and weight when you book.

A pet fee applies: about THB 500 per pet per night for pets of 1–10 kg and about THB 1,000 per pet per night for pets of 11–20 kg. Usually 1–2 pets per unit are allowed, depending on room type and pet size; confirm this with the resort before arrival. Pets stay mainly in the garden bungalows, loft units and private villas.

Pets may use the shaded gardens, outdoor pathways and open public areas, but must be kept on a leash and supervised at all times and cannot be left alone in guest rooms. Owners must clean up after their pets. Pets are generally not allowed in the natural pool or the shared swimming pools for hygiene reasons.

Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.

Description

Blu Monkey Pooltara Krabi Hotel and Villas (บลูมังกี้ พูลธารา กระบี่), formerly Phutara Resort, is a boutique retreat run under the Blu Monkey brand and built around eco-friendly living and quiet. It has about 18–20 units.

Rooms range from Chimpanzee Loft units (25 m²) and Chimpanzee Garden bungalows (36 m²) to larger multi-bedroom pool villas, including Gorilla Villa and the Two-Bedroom Pool Villa, which have private pools, terraces and kitchenettes.

The centrepiece is a natural, clear freshwater canal fed by mountain runoff, where guests can swim, and kayaks are free to use on the calm jungle canal. There is also a shared outdoor pool, a children's pool and sun loungers.

Pooltara Restaurant and Banana Land Cafe serve breakfast, local Thai dishes and barbecue sets. Free Wi-Fi covers the grounds, bicycles can be borrowed free of charge, and weekend activities include the Blu Monkey Farmer Market.

Neighbourhood

The resort is in a secluded rural setting among limestone karsts, rubber plantations and tropical greenery, well away from the crowded beach strips.

Ao Thalane (about 10–12 km): known for mangrove sea kayaking and limestone canyon tours.
Din Daeng Doi Viewpoint: a sunrise and karst viewpoint in Khao Thong.
Wang Than Thip Park and Sa Kaeo Cave: nearby natural and geological attractions.
Nopparat Thara and Ao Nang beaches (about 13.6–15 km).
Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) (about 15 km).

Getting there

The address is 144/1 Moo 4, Ban Nai Sa, Khao Thong, Mueang Krabi, Krabi. From Krabi International Airport it is about 21–23 km, roughly 30–35 minutes by pre-arranged transfer, rental car or taxi.

From Ao Nang or Krabi Town it is about 15–20 km, around 20–25 minutes by taxi, motorbike or car, heading along Route 6031 towards Ban Nai Sa and Khao Thong. Free private parking is available on site.
