Small to medium dogs and cats are welcome, up to 2 pets per room with a maximum weight of 15 kg. The fee is THB 700 per pet per night. For safety reasons certain breeds are excluded, such as Pit Bull, Rottweiler and Bangkaew.

Pets stay in the dedicated Deluxe Pet-Allowed rooms in Building 1, and a pet bed is provided. Pets must stay off the human beds and sofas, and the resort towels and linens are for guests only. In public areas of the resort, pets must be on a leash or carried. Pets can use the open grounds and the adjacent beach.

Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.

Description

The Grand Southsea (Southsea Khaolak Beach Resort) is a four-star beachfront resort on Pakarang Beach on the Andaman Sea. Its airy, modern-classic design with Asian architectural touches favours open layouts, natural light and sea breezes.

The resort has 125 Deluxe and Premier rooms of 40–60 m², with garden access, pool proximity or private balconies facing the sea. Facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a full-service restaurant serving Thai and international dishes, a poolside bar and 24-hour reception, with direct access to the beachfront.

Neighbourhood

The resort has a quiet coastal setting among casuarina trees and tropical greenery, away from heavy commercial noise. The nearby beach area is known for surf spots and beachfront cafés.

Pakarang Beach and Cape Pakarang (adjacent, up to 2 km).
Coconut Beach and Pak Weep Beach (about 1–2 km).
Sai Rung Waterfall (Rainbow Waterfall) (about 10 km).
Khao Lak–Lam Ru National Park (about 15 km).
Thap Lamu Pier (15–20 minutes by car): departure point for the Similan Islands.

Getting there

The address is 44 Kukkak, Khuekkhak, Takua Pa, Phang-nga. From Phuket International Airport take Route 402 north over Sarasin Bridge onto Highway 4 (Phetkasem Road) into Phang Nga Province. Continue north through Khao Lak into Khuekkhak, then follow the road towards Cape Pakarang. The drive is about 80–90 km, roughly 1–1.5 hours.

Pre-booked private transfers, rental cars and local taxis from Phuket Airport or central Khao Lak can drop you at the resort entrance. Free private on-site parking is available for guests.
