Dogs and cats are welcome; exotic animals are not. Pets of most sizes are accepted, but check with the management in advance if you have a very large breed. The limit is usually one pet per room, and pets stay in selected pet-friendly rooms.
The pet fee is about THB 100–500 per pet per night, depending on the size of the pet and the booking channel; service animals are usually exempt. A refundable cash deposit of around THB 500 may be asked for at check-in. Confirm the exact amounts with the guesthouse.
There is no enclosed dog area or lawn, but there is an outdoor terrace, and the beach and beachside promenade a short walk away are the main places for walks. The rooms are reached by stairs, as there is no lift, which matters for older dogs.
Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.
The BEACH CHA AM Guesthouse & Residence is a simple 2-star guesthouse a minute's walk from the beach. It is a low-cost choice for pet owners who want easy beach access and plenty of places to eat nearby.
Rooms range from budget doubles (some without windows) to standard rooms and superior double or family rooms with private balconies or terraces; some upper rooms have partial sea views. All have air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a desk, a minibar and an en-suite bathroom with hot shower and toiletries.
Services include a 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, a terrace, a small bar and snack area, and help booking tours and transfers. The building is a multi-storey walk-up without a lift.
The guesthouse is in a lively alley just off the beach road, surrounded by seafood restaurants, casual bars, coffee shops and convenience stores. Nights can be noisy because of nearby music venues.

By car from Bangkok, take Highway 35 (Rama II Road) and join Highway 4 (Phetkasem Road) to Cha-am, about 2–2.5 hours. Turn towards the beach at the Narathip intersection, then onto Ruamjit Road and into Soi Sathani Khonsong. Free private parking is available.
Minivans and buses run from Bangkok (Ekkamai, the Southern Bus Terminal or Mo Chit) to Cha-am, and the guesthouse is on the soi close to the bus and van drop-off points.
By train, Cha-am Railway Station is about 2.6–3 km away; take a motorcycle taxi or songthaew from there. The nearest airport is Hua Hin Airport, about 19 km south, roughly a 20-minute drive.
