The Slate Phuket is an ultra-luxury design resort on Nai Yang Beach, near Phuket Airport. Its Travel With Your Furry programme accepts small dogs up to 7.5 kg, staying only in private pool villas.
Price range: about THB 5,000–12,000 a night for suites; pet-friendly pool villas about THB 18,000–40,000 a night, plus the pet fee.

The Slate accepts dogs only under its Travel With Your Furry programme; cats and other pets are not allowed. Dogs must be small, well-behaved, quiet and non-aggressive, with up-to-date vaccinations and flea and tick treatment. The weight limit is 7.5 kg per dog, or under 15 kg combined for two dogs, and up to two dogs may stay per villa.
The fee is THB 1,500 per dog per night, plus 10% service charge and 7% VAT. Dogs stay only in the pool villas (One-Bedroom Pool Villa, Two-Bedroom Pool Villa and Two-Bedroom Family Pool Villa), not in the suites. Each dog gets a bed, food and water bowls, waste bags, nightly turndown treats and a signature leash badge. A gourmet dog menu, dog walking, pet sitting and on-call vet help are available at extra cost.
Dogs may roam the walled private villa garden and swim in the villa's plunge pool. They are not allowed in the shared pools, bars, indoor restaurants, gym or Coqoon Spa. Outside the villa they must be on a leash at all times; Nai Yang Beach next to the resort is the main place for walks and play.
Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.
The Slate Phuket, formerly Indigo Pearl, is a five-star design resort by architect Bill Bensley that pays tribute to Phuket's 19th-century tin-mining boom. Its industrial-chic style mixes raw ironwork, old machinery and exposed beams with tropical greenery, reflection pools and traditional Thai woodwork.
There are around 180–200 large suites and standalone pool villas, the villas set in private walled gardens. Pet owners stay in the One-Bedroom Pool Villa, the Two-Bedroom Pool Villa or the Two-Bedroom Family Pool Villa, each with its own plunge pool.
The resort has three large swimming pools, one for families and two for adults only. The award-winning Coqoon Spa is known for The Nest, a treatment room set among banyan trees. Among several restaurants, the Michelin-recommended Black Ginger serves traditional Thai food on a lit lagoon, reached by a hand-pulled wooden raft.
The resort sits in a quiet, natural coastal area with casuarina trees and small seaside restaurants, far from the crowds of southern Phuket. The beach is right in front.

The resort is on Nai Yang Beach in Sakhu, Thalang, on Phuket's north-west coast. Phuket International Airport is only about 2.5–3.5 km to the north, 5–10 minutes by car: drive south on Route 4031 towards Nai Yang and Sakhu.
The resort can arrange private airport transfers on request for an extra charge. Free, secure on-site parking is available for guests.

The Slate Phuket was an absolute dream for me and my golden retriever, Max. The resort's lush, open-air layout gave Max plenty of beautiful pathways to explore. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed him with treats and a custom water bowl. While pets aren't allowed in the main pools, the gorgeous garden villa we stayed in had its own private plunge pool area where we could relax together without breaking any house rules. Truly top-tier service for pet owners.

The Slate Phuket was the absolute best vacation spot with my dog, Choco. The spacious gardens with their unique industrial design were perfect for Choco to walk around. At check-in, the staff welcomed us so warmly, even preparing dedicated bowls and cold water for him. Although there are some restrictions in certain areas like the dining section, the villa itself was so spacious and comfortable that it didn't feel limiting at all. I was deeply touched by their thoughtful hospitality.

Brought my dog to stay at The Slate Phuket and was very impressed. The atmosphere is lush and shady with plenty of spacious garden areas to walk around. The staff gave a warm welcome and even prepared a water bowl and pet bed in the room. Although there are rules restricting pets from the communal pool area and certain dining spots for cleanliness, overall it is very flexible and pet-friendly. Highly recommended for dog lovers!
