Kochira (also listed as Kocchira) is an intimate boutique hotel with only 28 rooms, first opened in 2016 and renovated in 2018. Its small size avoids the crowds of large resorts, and it sits in a quiet coastal pocket of Khao Takiab.

Rooms run from Deluxe Doubles to triple and duplex family rooms. Each has air conditioning, a private balcony or terrace, a refrigerator, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a deep soaking bath and shower.

On-site amenities include a central outdoor pool, a whirlpool, a separate children's pool, a sun terrace, a garden with picnic and barbecue spaces, a café, a bar and lounge, and breakfast (continental, Asian or American). Wi-Fi is free in rooms and public areas, and private parking and valet are free too.

Kochira is on Soi Mooban Takiab in Nong Kae, Hua Hin, close to Khao Takiab. From Bangkok, drive south on Highway 35 (Rama II Road), which joins Route 4 (Phetkasem Road) into Hua Hin; continue south past central Hua Hin towards Khao Takiab and turn into Soi Mooban Takiab. The drive takes about 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

By public transport, take the train to Hua Hin Railway Station or the nearby Nong Kae station, or an intercity bus or van to Hua Hin. From town, the green songthaew trucks run between Hua Hin and Khao Takiab, or take a taxi or Grab straight to the soi. The 7-Eleven opposite the hotel is an easy landmark.
