Description

Tamnanpar Resort & Water Park (ตำนานป่ารีสอร์ท), also known as Classic Forest Resort, is an eco-themed resort built around a large natural lake and enclosed by an artificial rainforest canopy of mature trees, mist sprays and streams.

It has 72 rooms in four categories: Deluxe Twin (35 sqm), Cozy King (50 sqm), Poolside King (40 sqm) and Private Pool Suite (80 sqm). Rooms have rustic wood finishes, air conditioning, a private balcony or terrace, a flat-screen cable TV, a fridge and an electric kettle.

The water park has waterslides, children's splash pools and indoor and outdoor swimming areas, and swan paddle boats operate on the central lake. Guests can eat at the open-air jungle Tamnanpar Restaurant, which serves Thai regional and seafood dishes, or at NORCH Cafe. There is also a private karaoke room, and banquet spaces and garden lawns for weddings and seminars.

Neighbourhood

The resort lies inland in a quieter, green part of Ban Phe, between the Rayong coast and the forested hills, about 10 minutes from the ferry piers to Koh Samet.

Getting there

The resort is on Sukhumvit Road at about KM 236, reached via Soi Wat Nai Rai in Phe subdistrict, Ban Phe, Rayong. By car from Bangkok (about 180–200 km, 2.5 to 3 hours), take Highway 7 (Motorway) towards Pattaya and Rayong, then Route 36 or Route 3 (Sukhumvit Road) towards Klaeng and Ban Phe. Free on-site parking is available, including for vans and coaches.

By public transport, take a bus or minivan from Bangkok (Eastern Bus Terminal Ekkamai or Mo Chit 2) towards Rayong or Ban Phe Pier. Ask to be dropped at KM 236 or Soi Wat Nai Rai on Sukhumvit Road, or get off at Ban Phe and take a songthaew or taxi for about 5–10 minutes.

The nearest airport is U-Tapao Rayong–Pattaya International Airport, about 44–50 km away, around 45 minutes by car.
