Description
Horse Riding Samila Beach is a local association of beach horse handlers operating directly on Samila Beach in Songkhla. It is an outdoor tourist attraction rather than a riding school, polo club, breeding farm or stable. Horses are its sole and central activity, and the handlers wear cowboy costumes.
Riders take short, walking-pace beach rides led by a handler, usually on a route between the Golden Mermaid Statue and the Cat & Mouse Sculpture, about 500 metres round trip. The club keeps around 11 to 12 Thai native crossbred horses and ponies, and visitors can also pose on horseback with the ocean and pine trees behind them. There are no lessons. It suits tourists, including children, beginners and adults.
- Beach rides with a handler, about 500 m round trip
- Photo sessions seated on the horse, with the sea and pine trees as backdrop
- No arena, café, restaurant or accommodation on site; visitors use public beachfront parking, promenade seating and nearby food stalls
It is a short, simple experience for tourists, rather than a programme of lessons or longer trail rides.
