Pets are officially permitted at Deishaview Jungle Hostel, but prior agreement and confirmation before arrival are required.
The hostel offers dormitory-style rooms only, such as 8, 9 and 16-bed mixed dorms, with no private rooms. Larger pets or dogs are challenging in shared dorms, so consider this before bringing a big dog. Resident cats roam freely around the common grounds and dorm areas.
Reaching the buildings from the parking area means climbing about 120 steep hillside steps. The open garden and hillside jungle around the property give pets some space to walk.
Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.
Deishaview Jungle Hostel is a hillside eco-hostel, dive training centre and wellness retreat set in lush tropical greenery above Chalok Baan Kao. It offers an easygoing, communal atmosphere with shared events, yoga and games, rather than a party scene.
Accommodation is air-conditioned bunk beds in shared mixed dormitories of 8, 9 or 16 beds, with bathrooms that have showers and bidets.
Amenities include an open-air common lounge, an on-site restaurant serving Thai, vegan and vegetarian food, a bar, a pool and billiards table, table tennis, a games area, rooftop yoga spaces and high-speed Wi-Fi.
The hostel is in a quiet, elevated jungle setting in the southern part of Koh Tao, overlooking Chalok Baan Kao bay.

Arrive at Mae Haad Pier, Koh Tao's main port, by passenger ferry. The hostel is about 1.8 km south of the pier, roughly a 5-minute drive, toward Chalok Baan Kao.
The road climbs a steep hill, so walking with luggage is not recommended. Take a shared or private taxi, or rent a motorbike or scooter from reputable shops near the pier, such as RPM.
Vehicles park at the bottom of the hill, where the free on-site parking is. From the parking area, guests climb about 120 hillside steps to reach the main lobby and rooms, so pack light.
