Description
Headtrail for Bottle Beach is the start of the jungle path from the Haad Khom side over the hill to Bottle Beach (Haad Khuat), a secluded north-coast bay with no proper road. The marked trail is about 2.2 km with roughly 250 m of climbing, 40 minutes to 1.5 hours one way; a coastal alternative adds rock scrambles.
It's a hard hike for a dog: steep, rocky dirt sections that turn slippery after rain, and exposed stretches in the sun. There's no water on the way, so carry 1–2 litres per person plus extra for your dog. Fit, heat-tolerant dogs will manage; flat-faced or older dogs should skip it. The calm bay is a good place to cool off.
Good to know: there is no entry fee. January to May is the best season; trails can wash out in the October–December monsoon. Bottle Beach has a few bungalows and simple restaurants, cash only with no ATM.
