Description
Paradise Waterfall is a run of small cascades and rock pools in the forest just outside Chaloklum, on the north side of Koh Phangan. The lower pool is less than 100 m from the parking area and has a rope swing over cool water. A steep, unmarked trail climbs beside the stream to the upper pools, about 70 minutes to the top. The flow depends on rain, so go just after the wet season.
With a dog, the short walk to the lower pool is easy and shaded. Higher up, the rocks are very slippery when wet and there are no ropes, which is hard going for paws; if the trail gets confusing, follow the water or the blue pipes. The pool can be busy with swimmers, so keep your dog close. Bring insect repellent.
Good to know: entry is about 30 baht per person, open daily from 09:00 to 17:00. There is a small food stand with toilets.
