Private Park and Trail

Private Park and Trail is a hill-based park and hiking trail near Bo Phut Beach on Koh Samui. The trail has steep sections, dirt paths through the jungle and paved stretches, and some paved areas may be blocked by land disputes.

There is no official written pet policy, and reviews indicate people do bring dogs for walks. No pet amenities such as bowls, beds or off-leash areas are provided. Local dogs frequent the trail; some are friendly, but others may form an unfriendly pack near private homes.

Good to know: bring water for you and your dog, and keep to the right-hand side at the entrance as the sign asks. If you meet a pack of dogs near private residences, turn around. Since the rules are not confirmed, a leash is the safe choice.
