Sunrise Koh Tao is a beachfront boutique hotel and hostel, renovated in 2019, that combines a social backpacker atmosphere with comfortable resort-style rooms.
It has 22 rooms. The air-conditioned mixed dormitories have six beds, with privacy curtains, charging outlets, reading lamps and personal lockers. Private standard and deluxe double and family rooms have en-suite bathrooms, balconies and ocean views.
Facilities include an open-air beachfront restaurant serving Thai and Western food, a bar and communal lounge facing the sea, tour and diving desks, bicycle rental and free Wi-Fi throughout. Free on-site parking is available for guests.
The hotel is in the port village of Mae Haad, with dive shops and dive schools, beachfront cafés, local restaurants, scooter rental, convenience stores and tour desks close by.

The hotel is at Mae Haad Pier, Koh Tao, Surat Thani. First travel to Surat Thani, Chumphon or Koh Samui, then take a high-speed catamaran or ferry (such as Lomprayah, Seatran or Songserm) to Mae Haad Pier.
From the pier, turn onto the beachside road. The hotel is about 50–150 m away, a 2–3 minute walk, so no taxi is needed. Free parking is available on site, and there is also street parking nearby.
