Tara Resort, also called Tara Resort Samui, is a quiet family-run retreat in a green jungle setting. It has 11 stand-alone cottages and studios surrounded by tropical plants and is popular with long-stay guests.

The resort is at 50/9 Moo 3, Angthong Soi 6, Tambon Ang Thong, Koh Samui, near Zongrua Waterfall.

From Nathon town or the island ring road (Route 4169), turn inland onto Angthong Soi 6 and follow the road east towards Zongrua (Song Rua) Waterfall. Nathon Pier is about 3–4 km away, 6–10 minutes by car or motorbike.

Samui International Airport is about 25 km away, 45–55 minutes by car or taxi. The resort offers a paid airport shuttle.

The resort is in a hilly inland valley, so renting a scooter or car is recommended for reaching beaches, markets and restaurants. Free private parking, including covered spaces, is available.
