Description

Thai Terrace Bungalow is a relaxed, family-run, 2-star garden property built around the year 2000 and run by a local host, Ed, known for hands-on help with scooter rentals and transport.

It has 8 to 10 private standalone bungalows set in a quiet, well-kept tropical garden. Each has air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, a private bathroom with a walk-in hot shower, an electric kettle, a fridge, and a covered terrace with an outdoor fan and a hammock.

The atmosphere is low-key and unpretentious, suited to couples, beachgoers, budget travellers and pet owners who want a natural setting away from resort crowds.

Neighbourhood

The resort is about 200 m (a 2–3 minute walk) from Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach. The village behind the beach has a 7-Eleven, ATMs, massage salons and restaurants, including Siam House, Dreamland Resort and Italian eateries, all within a 3–5 minute walk.

Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach (about 200 m): calm, swimmable water and white sand.
Wat Thong Nai Pan (about 7 minutes on foot): the local temple.
Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach (about 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car): the neighbouring bay.
Than Sadet–Ko Pha-ngan National Park and Than Sadet Waterfall (about 3 km south): a national park and waterfall.

Getting there

The resort is at Thong Nai Pan Yai, Ban Tai, Koh Phangan. Fly to Samui Airport or Surat Thani Airport. From Koh Samui, take a taxi to a pier such as Bangrak (Big Buddha) and a ferry or speedboat to Koh Phangan. From Surat Thani, take a shuttle bus to Donsak Pier and a ferry to Koh Phangan.

From Thong Sala Pier, take a shared songthaew, private taxi or rental vehicle across the island to the north-east coast. The drive over the hills on paved roads takes about 35–45 minutes. The owner can also arrange taxi transfers on request. Free private parking is available.
