Bringing your pet
Description
Thon Krut (also spelled Thong Krut) is a traditional fishing village in Taling Ngam on the southern coast of Koh Samui. It is a rural, coastal area of small roads, local shops, fishing boats and seafood restaurants.
The area is mainly a transit and residential coastal zone, known as the departure point for boats to Koh Tan and Koh Madsum (Pig Island). No public pet amenities are listed. There is a local animal rescue presence in the Taling Ngam and Thon Krut area, led by a resident who cares for stray dogs and cats.
Because Thon Krut is a village and not a single venue, there is no unified pet rule. Each restaurant, boat operator or accommodation sets its own, so ask before bringing a dog or cat, particularly for boat trips, and keep your pet leashed around roads and working boats.
Getting there
Thon Krut is located on the southern coast of Koh Samui along road 4170. It is accessible by rental car, motorbike, or taxi, taking approximately 45 minutes from Samui International Airport, 30 minutes from Chaweng Beach, and 20 minutes from Lamai Beach.
