first time staying with penny at a hotel

We took Penny to a hotel in Hua Hin for the long weekend. This was her first big trip outside Bangkok, so I was a little nervous. I checked the hotel website three times to make sure the pet fee and room rules were clear. When we arrived, the staff gave her a small welcome treat and a water bowl at the front desk. Penny was very excited and tried to lick everyone in the lobby. The room was on the ground floor with a small terrace, which was perfect for her. The bed was big enough for both of us, and she slept at my feet like a warm bag. On the first day we walked along the beach in the early morning, before the heat. Penny does not like sand very much. She stood still and looked at me like I was crazy. After that we only walked on the paved part near the pier. One thing I learned: book the room with the pet policy early. Some rooms are full for dogs even when the website says available. Also bring her own blanket, because the room AC was very cold and she did not like the hotel towels. The trip was good. Penny was calm in the car and only barked once at a big dog in the lobby. We will go again in the rainy season, maybe to a different place.
