หนูเพิ่งรู้ว่าอันตรายมาก วันนั้นทำข้าวผัดด้วยกระทะเทฟลอนที่ร้อนจัด แล้วลืมว่านูเทลลาอยู่ในครัวด้วย มันยืนอยู่บนที่วางเหนือเตาอยู่ตลอด พอหมอบอกว่าควันจากเทฟลอนร้อนๆ ทำร้ายปอดนกได้ หนูใจหายเลย ตอนนี้ไม่ใช้กระทะเทฟลอนแล้ว และย้ายกรงออกจากห้องครัวทั้งหมด นูเทลลาตอนนี้ยังปกติ แต่หนูต้องคอยระวังตลอดเลย

I think you should not use tefflon near bird at all, but maybe the kitchen fan is also a problem. Is the cage far from the stove now? Hope Nutella is ok.

Tip, keep bird cage away from kichen at least 2 meeter and turn on the fan when cooking. Also non stick is bad for birds even when not hot.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you learned it now and Nutella is okay. Many new bird owners do the same. Good luck!

Also get a small air purifier if you cook a lot, that really helps with birds. A stainless pan is safer too.

I think the Teflon is not the only problem, the cage in kitchen is too close to smoke from frying. Maybe air out the kitchen first and keep bird on the other side.

@Ella I agree. In Germany we also have warnings about teflon for birds, very important. Be careful with the fumes.

My dog also got sick from the smoke in our kitchen once. Vet said keep the air flowing and keep pets away from the stove.

my budgie also had this happn, from a non stick oven tray. he breath funny for a week. glad nutella is ok. keep the window open when you cook!

I thnk the bigger problem is the cage location, not only the pan. Maybe keep bird out from kitchen completely even with stainless. Also fumes from fish sause can harm too I think

Tip: stainless pans are cheap at big home shops, and an air purifier near the kitchen helps. Stay safe!
