Shiro was a stray. We find him at the back of the market in Bang Phli, sitting in a plastic crate with no bottom. The stall lady say he been there for three days, nobody want him because he look like a pug but sick. He was not sick, just dirty and very hungry, and his skin had a lot of bumps from fleas.
My husband wanted to call the dog rescue but I say let him eat first. We bought chicken and rice from the stall next door and he eat like crazy, he didnt even stop for water. After that he follow us home on foot. Took 40 minutes. He stop every few meter to sniff something. We had to carry him over the big road.
The first two weeks he was very very scared of the bathroom and wouldn't go in. We thought he was broken, he just didnt know what the tiles were. Now he sleeps in the bathroom on purpose because it is cool. Ha.
We went to vet for check, shots, and to make sure no heartworm, and he is fine now. Gyoza, our old Border Collie, did not like him at first. Now they share the same sofa but Gyoza always gets the good side.
At night when the rain start, Shiro put his head on my foot. I think he remember the crate. I never sure.
