We drive to Hua Hin with Baby every summer, around 3 hours from Phra Pradaeng on the motorway. Here is what I always pack now. Water bottle for the dog and a collapsible bowl, because the rest stops are very hot. Old towel on the back seat, Baby drools in the car. A small bag of her own food, not a new brand, to avoid stomach problems. Her medicine and a copy of her vaccine record.
Also a cooler box for frozen treats. Baby loves ice. I put a sheet of tissue paper under the car seat, easier to clean if she is sick. And extra poo bags, always more than you think.
We stop every 2 hours. Baby sleeps most of the time so the trip is not so bad now, but the first trip she cried a lot and I was so tired.
Which way you go to Hua Hin? I always go Phetkasem but the traffic is so bad after 2pm, maybe I try the motorway like you. Baby must be happy in the car with the cooler lol
