thinking about adopting my first dog, any tips for condo?

I never had a dog before. I live in a condo near Bang Sue station with my mom. We have a busy schedule and I work from home some days. Is it better to adopt an adult dog from a shelter or a puppy? Please share what you learned, thank you.

   Adult dog is easier for condo life, puppy needs many walks and toilet training. I adopted a Thai Bangkaew from a shelter in Pathum Thani, he was calm after about 2 weeks. Check if the dog is good with strangers and kids, and ask the shelter if you can walk with him first.
