Our dog also went through a food switch last year after some itchy months, and mixing the foods over ten days is exactly what our vet told us to do. Mickey refusing the new bowl is so relatable, my pup used to stare at me like I had betrayed him. Glad the scratching has calmed down, hope the treats come back soon for him!

Try warming the new food a little, our two cats decided to like it faster that way.

Poor Mickey, that face is so hard to resist. Glad the new food is working out now.

A simple single-protein food from a pet shop helped our cat a lot, though every pet is different.

Don't feel bad about the stubborn face, it's normal for pets to resist change. You're doing everything right by going slow.
