Tiramisu's first proper beach day
We moved to Prawet three years ago and I have been meaning to take Tiramisu to the sea for all of that time. It took a grandchild visit to finally make it happen, so there we were on a Saturday morning, the two of us and a very small chihuahua in a very large sun hat.
He did not trust the sand. He walked on it like it owed him money. Then he saw the sea and simply stopped, the way he does when the vacuum comes out. I sat down on a plastic chair from the beach stall and waited. Ten minutes later he was sniffing a crab shell that had been abandoned by someone's lunch.
The heat was the real issue. By eleven it was 36 degrees on my phone and the sand was too hot for his little feet, so I bought him a pair of booties from the shop by the car park, which he hated instantly and then forgot about. I should have brought more water. We shared a coconut and he got most of the flesh, which I am not proud of.
We drove home with the window down halfway, and he slept on my lap with his ears inside out, looking like a very old gentleman who had been to the races. I have decided we will go once a month. The grandchildren think this is a splendid idea. Tiramisu has not been consulted.
Anyway. Turned out a day at the beach at seventy is not so bad, if you bring the right hat.

So nice that you finally took him to the sea. The chihuahua in the sun hat is the cutest picture.

good job, the sea is good for dogs once they get used to it. Toto also hated waves at first.
