Cat peeing next to litter box not in it

Rain started peeing next to the litter box since last month. He uses the box for poop but the pee is always on the floor by the wall. I have 2 boxes in the house and clean them everyday, but he still does it. Is it because of the dry food? Or maybe he dont like the new litter we bought.
