Going to Hua Hin with my old Yorkie, what should i know

Ollie is 11 and half yrs old, Yorkie, we planing to take him to hua hin for the weekend. He cant jump much now and his eyesight is not so good. Is it ok to take old dog for long car ride? the hotel is by the beach.

Yes its ok but plan for it. Take small breaks every 1.5-2 hours, let him walk and drink. Ask hotel for a ramp or low bed if he cant jump. Keep his usual food, changing food on trip can upset tummy. Vet check before if it has been long since last one, I would do that.

น้องแก่แล้วอย่าให้ทำอะไรหักโหมนะคะ ถ้าเมารถก็ให้ยาตามที่หมอสั่ง อย่าซื้อยาคนให้เอง ช่วงทะเลไม่ควรให้เดินโดนแดดตรงๆ เพราะน้องตัวเล็กร้อนง่าย แล้วอุ้มน้องขึ้นลงเตียงกับบันไดด้วยนะคะ จะได้ไม่เจ็บหลัง

My chihuahua is 8 and we went to Khao Yai last year, he was fine but slept in car on the way back. Maybe check his heart and teeth before the trip, old dogs can get tired fast in heat. Good luck!

Ollie is old so the beach sand is hot, dont walk him at noon. Ask hotel if they have ramp, they might not. Ok to go but be careful. Don't forget his dog bed and a towel.
