first week with Miso

Miso came home last Friday after 3 weeks at the rescue shelter in Samut Sakhon. The lady at the shelter told me he is 5 years old and he was found in a box near a market. He is a French bulldog and his face is so flat that he snores like a train. I did not expect how much he snores. The first night he slept under my bed. The second night he slept on the rug near the door. By the third night he was on my pillow, and his head was on my arm all night. I was too scared to move in case I woke him. He is very shy with men. My brother came over on Sunday and Miso hid behind the sofa for 2 hours, then he came out and sat on my brother's shoe. My brother was so happy, he said he is an old man in a dog body. Miso does not like cat toys, he only likes the squeaky duck. Food: he is on a sensitive stomach formula now because the shelter food made his tummy very loud. We walk in the early evening, not too long, because bulldogs get hot very fast. I bought a cooling mat from a shop on Sukhumvit and he lay on it right away. The rescue lady says it will take about 2 months for him to fully relax. I think I can wait. He is the best thing that happened to me this year and I am not even exaggerating.
