kitten teeth are going to kill me

Pao is 2 and a half months and he has discovered that everything in this condo is edible. Cables, the corner of the sofa, my reading glasses, one of my sandals (I found the other one under the bed). The vet at Pratumnak said this is totally normal for kittens going through teething, they are basically chewing to help the new teeth come through. Good to know, but it doesn't make it hurt less when he bites my ankle at 3am. I bought a bunch of chew toys from the pet shop on the way home and he ignored all of them and went straight for the power strip. So now the power strip is behind the bookshelf and the cables are in plastic tubing. My neighbor thinks I'm crazy. He does calm down after playing hard. You can see him just drop over mid-sentence like a battery running out. I put a frozen treat on a towel for him one evening and he liked it, sort of, he licked it for 10 minutes then fell asleep on the towel. Anyway, that's the update. He is eating everything but he is adorable so I can't be mad.
