lesson learned: no chicken bones

Bruno almost died last month because of me. I was cooking chicken for dinner and gave him the leftover bones from my plate, thinking he would be fine since he always eats everything. Two hours later he was throwing up on the bathroom floor and couldn't stop. We drove to the emergency clinic in Pattaya at night. The vet said cooked bones can split and hurt the stomach, and he needed a scan. Luckily nothing was blocked, he just had a bad irritation and needed a few days on bland food and an injection. I felt so stupid. Everyone tells you this, but I didn't really listen. Now the bones go straight in the bin and I wash the counter before Noodle comes near. Noodle, my old poodle, did not even care. He just ate Bruno's rice while we were gone. If you have a new dog please ask your vet what human food is safe, don't just guess like I did.
