pet friendly hotel - what to ask before booking

Zeus is only 2 months old and she is a puppy, I try to book hotel in Khao Lak but many say pet friendly and then no. Always ask if the room is ok for a small dog, and if the staff will recieve the dog at the entrance. Dont trust the website only, write them email and keep it. It's better to be sure.
